One last question: Since I don't have a cd-drive what would be the easiest way to install Windows if I want to a fresh install? I some installations, I actually found that file and tried deleting/renaming/moving it, but it would always reappear after a reboot. Surely you've heard of the Hostess Brand Inc. Then blocking their digital download and linking to Windows 8 shows the want to push the new OS. With Windows 7 it's easy, use Disk Utility to burn (not really burn, but prepare) a ISO of Windows 7 to a appropriate sized USB thumb drive (not Sandisk, any other I also went into device manager and had windows "auto update" the gigabit drivers.

The problem is with the Apple system drivers for mounting HFS volumes. This is not proof that version 5.1.5621 do not contain any EFI drivers, but I do not think the drivers have not changed since the release of Windows 7. After 5 or so more installations, I noticed that the BSOD would occur 5-10 Minutes after boot regardless of what I would do, as long as I didn't do nothing. So I booted into safemode w/networking, went into Windows/System32/drivers and deleted AppleHFS and AppleMNT. But you don't want that and I don't blame you. I got a BSOD when windows update was creating a restore point. Not the answer you're looking for?
One solution is to install MacDrive which does a better job than Apple's driver at mounting HFS volumes. I looked at the log dump and couldn't find anything too suspicious. It should be a lot less updates than a plain vanilla install of Windows 7 from a original issue disk. It does not. If your MBP was a year newer, the story would probably be different. Apple needs to fix these drivers to resolve the BSOD issues.
