Upon turning on the computer, it goes directly to a screen with two options: 1) start windows normally, 2) start windows restore something. I am using an Acer TravelMate 2300 with XP. To fix this error, try running the chkdsk utility tool. I tried it again and hit the r key immediately after the screen appeared and it went to the next step.
