I have no clue where to go from here, you can see it has been a grind since 9 days ago when my computer crashed. I am still waiting for it.In the mean time, I went and bought a HITACHI 500gb HDD and installed it myself, and also went and bought Windows 7 because the technician Check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated. anyway in fairness to him he spent an hour looking over my system and running tests, he heard the clicking noise coming from the HD so he ordered two new HDs. http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/desktop/f/3514/t/19154127
Products, services, websites - we're here to help with technical issues, not market for others. Dell tried to send a tech out to my house with a new hard drive, mother board and graphics card. NOTHING ELSE. (NOTE: You do NOT need special drivers/software for a SATA drive unless you're doing RAID. Thanks!

My HDs seem to connect directly to the motherboard.
It also came better speced than the one I originally ordered. None of them cause BSOD. If you can try running a full HD diagnostics; I'm not talking chkdsk. Please refer to our CNET Forums policies for details.
I suspect Dell gave the wrong Windows recovery disk to a bunch of XPS 600 owners. within the BSOD, App Crashes And Hangs forums, part of the Tech Support Forum category. BSOD every day mostly within an hour of powering up. Also, I tried what /u/agentsmith907 posted and that did not work for me. Count to ten, then put jumper back to Pins 1 & 2. I have run memtest and it has passed with no errors multiple times. Join thousands of tech enthusiasts and participate.

Very upset.Nothing worked. sent the machine back to dell and had the memory replaced.
