At first I thought that chkdsk had stuck at 25% but just left it running and it completed eventually. Very Pleased man! Can't remember the size of the harddrive though…….can I expect it to continue like this or is somehting else going on? When I exited the bios setup to continue booting the Windows repair option worked and chkdsk reported fixing a drive error on C:. how can i get the R? Anonymous I think you have been super lucky. I didn't type the fixboot c: command just chkdsk /p then type exit. Windows 7 Directions: 1. not entering into normal mode The blue screen is BSOD(Blue Screen Of Death).

If you are unable to obtain an updated bios or the latest bios supplied by your vendor is not ACPI compliant, you can turn off ACPI mode during text mode setup. I tried to enter into the BIOS setup using F2 key.
